Exploring Gourishankar, Ramdung Go Peak Climbing, Tashi Lapcha Passes with stunning panoramic views, a wide variety scenery with Cho Oyu at Nepal Tibet Border
Ramdung peak stands at a height of (5,900m.) and formerly known as Ramdung Go Peak. It is situated south of Na village in the upper Rolwaling region and is one of a cluster of peaks surrounding Yalung La (Yalung Ri). It provides an access to upper Rolwaling from the south via the Khare Khola. The peaks in the area were first explored by Scottish Himalayan expedition led by Bill Murray in 1952, when three of the peaks near the pass, Yalung Ri (5,630m.-18,471ft), Chhugyima Go (6,259m./20,534ft) and Ramdung were climbed. Since then Ramdung has been climbed numerous times is an ideal summit for groups wanting to trek and climb in the still little visited Rolwaling Himal area. The normal route to this mountain, through the glaciers of North-East Flank, is straight forward.
The mountain offers a panoramic view of mountain ranges from Langtang region to Everest and also a splendid fascinating view of Gauri Shankar and Menlungtse. Cross a river from Na Gaon then climb up to Ramdung Peak base Camp then after summit peak decent to Tsho Rolpa Lake at Chhugyima (near by Tsho Rolpa glacier Lake) where we set up camp for night then trail head up to Tashi Lapcha Pass then continue decent to Khumbu valley called Namche Bazar and Lukla Bazar where we finish our trek.
