Kusum Kanguru Peak Climbing (6360m.) is a very technical and challenging peak from all possible routes. Kusum Kanguru climbing is an impressive rock and ice peak in the Khumbu Valley and forms the border between the Dudhkosi in the South and Hinku Valley to the North. Being challengeable, it approved only for those climbers who have enough experience in alpine mountaineering. It made up of ice as well as a rock and it contains three summits of East Kusum Kanguru (6360m.), Main Kusum Kanguru and smallest West Kusum Kanguru (5579m.). Kusum Kanguru is also known as Kusum Kangguru, Kusum Kangru, Kusum Kang, Kusum Khangru, Kusumkhang Karda, Kusu or Mount Kanguru. Kusum Kanguru first successful ascent of the main summit was made by Bill Denz of New Zealand on October 07, 1981, climbing the southwest buttress (west face), and descending the northwest flank. Denz did not only realise the first ascent, but also the first solo ascent and the first traverse of Kusum Kanguru. Five days later, on October 12, 1981, a Japanese team made the second ascent via the southeast face.
