(Jumlam exploratory- Zanskar Valley )
This trekking route is only passable in the autumn season, when the rivers are low enough to allow trekkers and their 'caravans' to negotiate the narrow gorges in safety. The route across remote valleys, high passes, ancient ochre-hued monasteries and Zanskari villages in harvesting time. This trek is a true taste of the ancient Kingdom of Zanskar with a just a bit of the refreshing bite of early winter in the air. Blue skies and few tourists make this wonderful time of the year to trek in the Indian Himalayas with good weather.
Actually, Jumlam or 'middle way' is the name of the wild, remote route through a network of narrow canyons, widest, stony riverbeds and deep ravines taken by Tibetan traders to return home from Zanskar if early snow closes the high passes and its around. Detail Itinerary
Camping Trek Cost Includes:
- All land transportation by Jeep,Hiace and Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
- Domestic flight ticket: Delhi – Leh - Delhi and local airport departure taxes.
- Hotel accommodation in Delhi and Leh with Bed and breakfast basis as per the trek itinerary.
- All 3 delicious major meals Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (provide continental food) and accommodation in tented camp during the trek en-route. Kitchen tent,(Single, roomy Marmot and Big Agnes tents (double for couples), our famous 'Tibetan Festival 'Kamzang' expedition-style trekking Tent' as a dining tent, Toilet tent, staff tent, Table, chairs and Kitchen utensil etc.)
- Fresh coffee and gourmet teas prepared by our expert cook while on trek.
- 1 Professional equipped English speaking trekking guide, 1 special trekking Cook, Kitchen boys (local staff), necessary Sherpa and Horse Portering.
- Life insurance for all support crews and their daily wages.
- Per member 15 Kg. luggage allow while in the trekking.
- Medical Kit Box for Nepali support crews.
- All official taxes and service charge.

Day 06: Kiu – Sara 3450m.
Day 07: Sara – Markha 3700m.
Day 08: Markha – Hankar 3700m.
Day 09: Hankar – Manechan 4640m.
Day 10: Manechan – Ruberang 4340m.
Day 11: Ruberang – Karnak Sumdo 4170m.
Day 12 -15: Karnak exploratory.
Day 16: Karnak Sumdo – Tilat Sumdo 4050m.
Day 17: Tilat Sumdo – Wangchuk Sumdo 4040m.
Day 18: Wangchuk Sumdo – Chubchak 4450m.
Day 19 -21: Chubchak Exploratory.
